Midland Red (BMMO) Crossville Motor Services Limited Scotts Greys of Darlington. Showing a nice view of a Coach boot. Western Welsh Boot. Showing the WW symbol and fleetname Southdown Motor Services SELNEC Cheshire Division. Used on vehicles taken over from the North Western Road Car Co Ltd after it was split up between Selnec, Trent and Crosville. SELNEC PTE. This flash was used by the Central activities ie, Parcels, Coaching and anything which could not be allocated to a Division. SELNEC Southern Division. The Southern Division depots comprised of Ashton, Stockport, Oldham, (where I worked), and SHMD Joint Board, at Stalybridge Barton Transport. Fleetname was inside a moulded chrome frame SELNEC Northern Division. The Northern Division consisted of the depots of the ex municiple undertakings of Bolton, Bury, Leigh, Rochdale and Ramsbottom UDC. SELNEC Central Division. But these cloth badges were worn on tunics.The only time I saw one used as a Cap Badge was by the late Mr Ken Baker the Inspector who had one sew on to his Cap. Issued to Licensed Hackney Drivers. Possibly issued to Bus Drivers before PSV Licencing came in to force in 1932.
